If the practice tests on the CD fail to work, it is probably because the file C:\Windows\Guide.ini is missing. If this happens to you (about 50% of the CDs sold have this problem), below are the repair instructions from Novell. Note that an updated version of this CD has been announced (8/98), and that the certification requirements, course numbers, and descriptions have already been changed!
Go into ACCESSORIES, then NOTEPAD and type the following 6 lines. Save it as "Guide.ini" under "C:\Windows": [Install Location] CDPath=E:\ HDPath=C:\NOVELL\GUIDE\ [Installation] CDPath=E:\ HDPath=C:\NOVELL\GUIDE\ (Note: If your CD ROM drive is not the E drive, change the CDPath in the above text to reflect the correct drive.)
