Parking and Traffic on Thursday Oct. 15 2009

On Thursday (next Thursday), October 15, the University of South Florida Bulls will challenge the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, at Raymond James Stadium, with kick-off at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are undefeated and nationally ranked, and the game will be televised on ESPN. As such, this game is expected to attract 50,000 fans to Raymond James Stadium, and therefore, to the vicinity of the Dale Mabry Campus. Thursday, October 15, is a regular class day at the HCC Dale Mabry Campus and classes are expected to convene as scheduled.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 15, the City of Tampa will divert traffic on Tampa Bay Blvd to one-way only. As time progresses toward kick-off (at 7:30 p.m.), vehicular and pedestrian traffic will steadily increase, making access to, and egress from the Dale Mabry Campus steadily more challenging. It would be very advisable to consider these delays as you plan your commute on the afternoon/evening of Thursday, October 15. No parking passes will be needed, but some entrances will be closed.
