Texts: Novell Course 532 (Novel 4.11 Design & Implementation) student text. (This book is not available until after add-drop period ends, and will cost approximately $100.)

Description: To prepare students to successfully pass the Novell certification exam, and to impart the understanding and skills needed to prepare a network design and implementation document. "Focuses on designing and creating a Netware implementation plan. Interactive group activities lead students through this process by acting in project roles to assess the needs of a company. The student completes a design strategy and implementation schedule with templates. A special fee will be charged for this course."

Prerequisite: CGS 2556 (Advanced Novell Administration) or permission of the instructor.


Grading: Grades will be based on classroom participation (30%) and two closed book, multi-choice exam (35% each). You will need a Scantron form and a #2 pencil for these exams. (Or you can elect to Audit the class during the add/drop period.)
Class participation means you must not only be physical present, but you must also be prepared, alert, and active.

Grade Scale: A: 90-100, B: 80-89, C: 70-79, D: 66-69, F: 0-65

Facilities: All computers in the classroom, and some computers in the Open Computer Lab, are connected to a Novell 4.11 network which can be accessed with a special boot floppy disk.
